I.
In Scranton’s cradle, beneath the coal-streaked hills,
a boy gathers grit like coal dust, lungs filling with hope,
his words slow to form, each stammer a stone to heave.
With each stumble, he learns: persistence is a promise,
a tender pact with every hollowed street and smoky dawn,
a small heart, stitched together, dreaming the impossible.
II.
The Senate chambers echo, a young man’s voice unfolds,
rising through grief, through heartbreak carved by fate—
Beau’s absence a silence loud enough to break the night.
Hunter battles shadows; Joe’s eyes grow fierce, wide-open,
holding each burden like he would cradle a son’s hand.
He stands unbent, carrying forward, weathered yet bright.
III.
Jill’s laughter lifts him, her classrooms filled with futures,
a strength built on quiet moments, on hands held and let go.
He journeys to the White House with their arms intertwined,
each step a testament to the family he has pieced together,
and when the time comes, he steps aside with grace,
a true hero’s journey, woven from sacrifice, steady and true.
IV.
Now history writes his name in lines of quiet valor,
a man who held power like a borrowed flame,
knowing that even light must be passed along.
He leaves not in defeat but in devotion’s armor,
a servant bound to people, place, and purpose—
the courage to dream, to build, and to release.
